Apiary Hub

Bring every hive within reach.

Your hives keep changing, even when you are away. Apiary Hub connects your Brood Monitors and Hive Scales to BeePrecise and sends their readings through a cellular or Wi-Fi connection, so you can follow changes between visits.

  • Connects up to 32 Brood Monitors and Hive Scales
  • Sends readings over 4G LTE or Wi-Fi
  • Solar powered, with DC charging

What Apiary Hub can do for you.

Apiary Hub does not add a new reading. It changes when you get them: through the day, wherever you are.

Follow every hive from anywhere.

Readings reach the app through the day, so you can see what changed before you leave home.

Know which yard to visit first.

Plan your rounds around the yards that need you, instead of visiting every yard in turn.

Choose cellular or Wi-Fi.

Apiary Hub sends readings over 4G LTE where there is mobile signal, or over Wi-Fi where a network reaches the apiary.

Powered by the sun.

A solar panel keeps the Hub charged in the yard, with a rechargeable battery and DC charging when you need it.

    It gathers every reading

Brood Monitors and Hive Scales in the yard send their readings to the Hub over Bluetooth.

  3. 03

    It sends them on

The Hub passes readings to BeePrecise over 4G LTE or Wi-Fi, so the app stays up to date between visits.

With a Hub, or without.

Every BeePrecise sensor works with phone sync on its own. Apiary Hub changes when readings reach you: through the day instead of when you visit.

  3. 3You follow changes from anywhere, between visits.

With a Hub, sensors send readings to it over Bluetooth and it passes them on over 4G LTE or Wi-Fi, so the app updates through the day.

Without a Hub, your sensors still work: they keep their readings until you visit and sync to your phone over Bluetooth.

Buyer’s guide

Is Apiary Hub right for you?

A good fit if

  • Your apiaries are far from home, or spread across several yards.
  • You want to know what changed before you set out, not only when you arrive.
  • You work with a crew and want everyone looking at the same hives.
  • You want to plan your rounds around the yards that need you first.

You may not need it yet if

  • Your hives are close by and you visit often. Phone sync is enough to start.
  • There is no mobile signal or Wi-Fi at the apiary. Talk to us about your site before you choose. Talk to us
  • You are starting with a few hives. Begin with sensors on phone sync and add a Hub later; nothing on the sensors needs to change.

How many do I need?

One Apiary Hub per apiary. Each Hub connects up to 32 Brood Monitors and Hive Scales in that yard.

Works well with

Apiary Hub works with the sensors you already have. Add it to a yard of Brood Monitors, Hive Scales or both.

Apiary Hub questions

Does Apiary Hub add new readings?

No. It carries readings from your Brood Monitors and Hive Scales to BeePrecise, so you get them between visits instead of only when you are at the hive.

What connection does it need?

Mobile signal for 4G LTE, or a Wi-Fi network that reaches the apiary. If you are not sure what your site has, tell us and we will help you check.

How many sensors can one Hub take?

Up to 32 Brood Monitors and Hive Scales in the same yard. Larger or spread-out apiaries may need more than one Hub.

Is the briefing different with a Hub?

No. Once readings reach BeePrecise, phone sync and the Hub lead to the same colony verdict and AI Briefing. The Hub makes them fresher.
